Coverage? focuses on helping mobile bandwidth junkies find cell signal as they roam. Save time looking up coverage on the carriers websites, compare their claims head to head and better plan your travels to stay connected.

** The carriers maps in your pocket: This app contains regional level maps based off of each major carriers data map - as found on their website as of our last update. Quickly overlay the carriers you use to create your own personalized coverage map on your device.

** No internet needed: Our proprietary coverage maps are stored within the app on your device - no downloading needed! Quickly access where youre supposed to get a signal, even when you have none.

** Urban and rural areas: Maps are at a regional level, and cover the entire continental USA, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

** Carriers included: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular.
** Canadian Carriers: Bell, Telus, Rogers (optional unlock)

** Know where to roam: view 5G, LTE, and roaming areas as overlays, focus on finding the coverage type you desire.

We created this app because we are full time technomads ourselves who rely on mobile data to work remotely. Keeping this app updated is a priority for us, as we depend on it ourselves!

Coverage FAQ:
Q: Why arent the maps more detailed or released more often?
A: Our map updates require a lot of meticulous labor intensive processing. Theres just no practical way to issue a new update every time a new tower is turned on. We monitor new coverage and try to find balance between effort & staying current. This generally means at least a couple updates a year.

Q: What makes Coverage? unique?
A: There are great apps out there that collect user submitted signal reports - we recommend them and use them ourselves. However, those apps are only useful in markets with an active user base. We took a different approach with Coverage? - we needed a tool to at least give us an idea of where signal should be - urban, rural, and out in the boonies.

The maps in Coverage? are provided in partnership with Ookla, and represent proprietary interpretations of the coverage reported by each carrier. You should not rely on the maps in Coverage to be perfectly precise or absolutely timely.

Ongoing map updates have been free - but to support the ongoing development costs, we now allow customers to subscribe to higher resolution maps that will be updated more frequently.

Coverage does not report or predict signal strength (there are great apps out there for that!). We can make no promises as to where youll *actually* get signal.. there are too many variables - towers, device, terrain, weather, etc.

So… Got Coverage?

Pros and cons of Coverage? app for iPhone and iPad

Coverage? app good for

This app is perfect for making sure you are going with the right carrier when planning a journey or a short hop. We used it to make sure we would have uninterrupted coverage for our cross country adventure to California and beyond in January. Worth every cent. Update 2012: even better! We are travelling from TO to California then back - this app is a must have. The 4G option is great, knowing when to expect a better connection is valuable, esp. when a big meeting is coming up.
We use this app all the time while traveling. Its well done and always seems to get the latest updates (unlike the other apps!). Best app and worth the download.
I like this app. I dont know how accurate it is but it certainly seems to do the job.
Love this app play with it all the time to see were I would or would not have data coverage!! Very useful if u travel ull know if u have coverage before u go to a different state..... :)
Its really the only app out there that correctly shows coverage maps, Its only downfall is that the maps havent been updated in 6 months and are a little outdated
I love this app first off, but one thing that would be nice is if you update the coverage maps for all carriers like Sprint since theyre LTE map is more different than that, please just update it but I do love the coverage map though.

Some bad moments

Of course there is no active info regarding the lack of international lte data... :-(
I purchased this app because the top review on another app From Root Metrics was from the "co-creator" of this app and talked about how his was better/different. Theyre not even close, this app is literally just an app that displays the carriers coverage maps. Pathetic and not worth $2.99, save yourself some money and pass, I wish I did.
This app has all the carriers, works even when data isnt available, gets updated frequently, and is easy to use. You wont be disappointed if you get this app.
We live full time in our RV traveling the west. I use this app daily. It is on my front page.
Total lifesaver for someone who travels a lot (especially in the country) but needs to rely on cellular data. Also great for house hunting when you plan on using cellular for your home internet connection.
As fulltime RVers who work on the road we use this app constantly to scope out coverage in the places we plan to visit. Cant recommend it enough.

Usually Coverage? iOS app used & searched for
